XML Partnership Qualifications & Requirements
In order to ensure that our advertisers receive the highest quality traffic possible, 7Search asks that all XML partners meet the following requirements in addition to those found at http://7search.com/affiliates/rules.aspx
- Your website must be listed in the top 100,000 websites according to Alexa.
- Your website must be a search engine, portal or portal-type website, meta crawler or directory.
- In order to protect our advertisers, clients may be required to provide 7Search a list of their affiliates generating search traffic to our advertisers.
- Advertiser results for a specific keyword must only be shown to a surfer after they have either typed the keyword in a search box or after they have clicked a text link on that specific keyword.
- The IP address of the surfer who performed the search must be passed to us as one of the parameters to the XML-feed request.
- In general, 7Search results should be shown only to surfers located in English speaking countries.
- The following IP groups must be blocked from making clicks on 7Search advertiser listings: 61.xxx.xxx.xxx, 202.xxx.xxx.xxx, 203.xxx.xxx.xxx, 210.xxx.xxx.xxx, 211.xxx.xxx.xxx, 218.xxx.xxx.xxx.
- Surfers should not receive any incentive to conduct a search or to click on an advertiser listing. The search and click should be done by the surfers' own volition.
- The clicks on the results must have the following information (NOT empty):
- IP of the surfer performed the search and click
- HTTP_REFERER (the page from which the click occurred). This URL should include text to let us know where the search was performed: msn.com, yahoo.com, etc. We will not accept clicks with empty or invalid HTTP_REFERER.
- HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE of the surfer's browser (we may block certain languages in the future). We will not accept clicks with empty or invalid HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE.
- HTTP_USER_AGENT of the surfer's browser
